WRITING JOURNEY 2017 – DIGITAL DOSSIER AND MEDIA STORMER INVITE
The "Writing Journey" conducted in 2016 by Dossier Digital and MEDIENSTÜRMER was a complete success: great articles, good food, good company, and a positive response all around. To kick off spring 2017, we are once again seeking dedicated writers and creatives who are ready to spend a weekend with us to strategically and qualitatively advance our Dossier with high-quality articles and reports. Travel, food, and accommodation are, of course, on us. We look forward to your application for the Writing Journey 2017.
Keyboards clatter, ideas mature, minds smoke – Oh wait: it's just the cigarettes whose haze unusually enriches this unconventional workplace, because this apartment in the middle of the old town of Strasbourg is certainly not usually like this. Delicious aromas – a charming mix of fish soup, red wine, and Camembert – fill the air and complement the exotic working climate in this avant-garde district, which is brimming with inviting taverns, restaurants, and bars.
No wonder that in this unique atmosphere, some of the best pieces for our Dossier Digital project were born. Free from the everyday stress at home, our team found a peaceful haven in Strasbourg last year – together with volunteer "scribes" – to let inspiration and creativity flourish.
What do we do there?
The result was more than satisfactory: Not only did many good contributions for our portal emerge, but also the company was inspiring, the evenings were loud, fun, and long, the food exquisite, and despite the sometimes hard work, fun was never in short supply.
We have since called this project "the Writing Journey" and are committed to repeating this type of excursion – for writing good texts, exchanging ideas, and further developing Dossier Digital – as soon as possible.
We just need one more thing: YOU!
In other words: We are looking for motivated writers, journalists, authors, and creative minds who are eager for three things – eager to contribute to the content direction of our portal, eager to write articles on a self-chosen (or assigned) topic for our Dossier, and last but not least, eager to spend a weekend with us in Strasbourg – with free food and accommodation, of course.
We provide the wine, you bring a clear, analytical mind.
We arrange the apartment, you work in a collaborative environment.
We organize the travel, you bring motivation and the ability to give and receive feedback.
What do you need to do?
Basically, not much. Apply now with a short article about 500 – 1000 words – on the following topic (in the context of the Digital Transformation of our society): "In the future, everyone will be world-famous for 15 minutes." (Andy Warhol 1968)
We are already looking forward to writing exciting articles together about the digital transformation of our society. And as mentioned: We are not workaholics.
Certainly: Writing is our main focus this weekend, but it is by no means the only good reason to go to France.
